An interesting vintage book entitled, 'A Field Guide to Animal Tracks. by Olaus J. Murie, who is also the illustrator, published by Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston. This edition is part of, 'The Peterson Field Guide Series' and is filled with many many black and white illustrations of animals and their tracks.

The contents include; Key To Tracks, My Life List, Opossum Family, Armadillo Family, Mole Family, Shrew Family, Bats, Bear Family, Raccoon and Ring Tail Families, Weasel Family, Dog Family, Cat, Family, seals, Rodents, Rabbit and Cony Families, Hoofed Animals, Birds, Amphibians and Reptiles, Insects and Other Invertebrates, Twigs and Limbs, Bone and Horn Chewing, and Bibliography.

The hardcover book is covered in spring green colored cloth with black ink lettering and decorated with an imprint of a paw. This copy, from the Sharon Audubon Center Library, and features a factory small white label on the bottom of the spine. The book is in overall good condition with minor wear on the covers and spine and measures; 4 3/4" x 7".

A wonderful book for nature lover's, hunter's, teacher's and anyone interested in learning more about the fascinating world of animals.
