HUGE Black Amethyst Glass (not iridized) Cherry Mikado pattern compote. Made by the Fenton Glass Company, circa early 1900's. 8" tall by 10" diameter across the top. Same size and shape as its carnival glass cousin. It has the Cherries and Scales patterns on the exterior, and the Mikado pattern on the interior. Deep, dark BLACK glass -- you can't see light through it. No chips, nicks or cracks. EXCELLENT Condition. Great mold detail. VERY NICE! Heavy! factory Extremely Rare.
