Finely carved Vintage Japanese Boxwood Netsuke.
The detailing on this Netsuke is lovely of a dog and puppy.
Netsuke's were used as a toggle to hold closed a pouch holding the wearer's money and possessions about their person. They developed into an artform of their own and are now highly collected. Original antique ones sell for high prices.
This one, by no means an original antique is clearly vintage and is beautifully carved compared to some of the roughly factory carved ones available.
In good vintage condition so may have minor Mark's appropriate for age.
