This vintage Japanese paper knife was made by a sculptor called 'Kouyu Fujii' (1882-1958).
This paper knife was made for a celebration at Waseda University - the back of the knife is engraved with the artisans name.
This paper knife has engraved a man who is probably 'Shigenobu Okuma' - a famous historical figure.
The condition is very good, the knife is still sharp and there is no problem to use as a paper knife but there are some rusts so please find more details on the photos.
On the lid of the box has sticked artisan name and artisan detail in Japanese.
